BLS Provider Renewal The American Heart Association BLS Renewal class is for currently certified AHA BLS Providers needing to renew their BLS certification. Busy medical professionals can study from home with the BLS HeartCode online and get their card after a short in-person skills check session. HeartCode BLS is the American Heart Association’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. The HeartCode online course is a comprehensive eLearning program which creates personalized learning paths that adapt in real time to a learner’s performance. The online course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, interactive activities, cognitive assessment activities, and knowledge checks to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. This HeartCode BLS Blended Course has 2 Parts: Part 1 - Online HeartCode BLS Course: (Up to 2 hours) Prior to the skills session, all participants must complete the HeartCode BLS online course through the American Heart Association eLearning website (sold separately on AHA website: https://shopcpr.heart.org/courses/bls Part 2 - In-person Instructor-Led skills session (up to 1.5 hours) Student MUST bring the HeartCode BLS Online Certificate of Completion to the Skills Session. Skills Session Fee: $85 **Student should review Skills Sheets prior to class: Adult CPR and AED Skills Testing Infant CPR Skills Testing eBook Included: The HeartCode online course includes access to the BLS Provider Manual eBook. Certification Issued-2 year American Heart Association eCard CEs Available Students may receive CEs from the American Heart Association depending on profession. The American Heart Association is authorized to offer AMA Credit Designation Statement to Physicians, AAPA Credit Acceptance Statement to Physician Assistants, AANP Credit Acceptance Statement to Nurse Practitioners, ANCC Credit Designation to Nurses, ACPE Credit Designation Statement to Pharmacists, Continuing Education Accreditation to Emergency Medical Services for the online portion of course. Credits are claimed on the AHA website but there are time limits of 30 days to 6 months depending on the accrediting agency.
