PALS for Healthcare Providers
The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers class is for initial PALS certification or PALS renewal certification for medical professionals.
Busy medical professionals can study from home with flexible self-paced studies of the PALS online course content and then complete a short in-person individual skills check session in a Simulation Skills Lab. (No instructor will be present) Your American Heart Association certification card will be issued instantly after completion of the skills training session.
The American Heart Association’s blended learning delivery method for the PALS Course delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where healthcare providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. The PALS online course is a comprehensive eLearning program which creates personalized learning paths that adapt in real time to a learner’s performance. The PALS online course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, interactive activities, cognitive assessment activities, and knowledge checks to teach students PALS knowledge and skills.

Management of pediatric respiratory emergencies
Vascular access (Including intraosseous training)

PALS Pharmacology
Basic Life Support (BLS) review
Numerous pediatric case studies and simulations
How to be both a leader and a team member in a pediatric resuscitation team
This PALS Blended Learning Course has 2 Parts:
Part 1 - AHA PALS Online Course: (2-6 hours) Prior to the skills session, all participants must complete the AHA PALS online course through the American Heart Association eLearning (Online course access link will be in the confirmation email after registration is complete.)
Part 2 - Simulation Skills Lab Session (30 minutes-1hour) PALS Skills tested on American Heart Association Live Feedback Manikin. (No Instructor will be present.) Tutorial videos will be provided and 24/7 phone support will be available for extra guidance and support. Students MUST complete the PALS Online content prior to attending the PALS skills session. Flexible scheduling for skills session: Choose your skills check session date and time and select a convenient Simulation Skills Lab location.

CEs Available
Students may receive CEs from the American Heart Association depending on profession.
Credits are claimed on the AHA website but there are time limits of 30 days to 6 months depending on the accrediting agency.
